[It was a long and hard battle, yet slowly but surely the Chaotic menace was beaten back.

What was left by the time "late at night" gets blurry with "early in the morning" were only a few dozen individuals, now huddled together downtown, near the large trees that'd given the city its name. They were faced off against several fighters, two opposing forces that weren't, at the moment, actually combatting.

They were both waiting to see who would make the first move.]

[Ruby gave a confident and encouraging smile. Together they can both do this. She has faith in them both. She gave a nod.]

[And with that Ruby leapt into the air as she spurred on her range of shots. Striking straight for the rabbit with a round of bullets.]

[He leaned forward on his feet and then sprung up and backward, one of the massed Chaotics taking the blows for him. He bounced off its dying form and landed in the street nearby, giving the gathered heroes a dark grin before turning and heading off. The remaining Chaotics all followed without second though.]

[Just when she was about to strike down as she transformed her weapon to her scythe. She growled out as she saw them start to dash. About to move after them.]

They're gettin' away-!

[He shifted to look after them, just as ready as Ruby was.]

C'mon, we have to get them before they get too far!

Daniel! Ruby!

[The call was sharp and to the point, half call for help and half reprimand.

There was something- or someone -more important to worry about than a retreating villain.]

[Yang had yet to completely stand up unaided, but that didn't stop her from calling out to the two of them.]

After him!!!

[She shifted as if she intended to leave Blake's steadying hold and join the impending pursuit, but the moment she moved her vision swam and her knees buckled out slightly from under her, making her sag forward awkwardly.]

Don't...don't let 'm'escape....

[Ruby nodded as she was about to go off but turned around toward Blake's call, as she realized oh yea her sister. Before looking at the evil rabbit, then back. Deciding her sister was more important as she rushed over as she held out her hands for Yang, kneels down.]

Y-Yang, are you alright?

[He flinched at the snap of Blake's voice, then looked around. The retreating Chaotics get a final, worried glance over his shoulder and then he follows after Ruby, his concern turned to Yang.]

[She jerked her head up, meeting Ruby's gaze with an expression that was trying for reassuring, but urgent.]

Don't worry about me, I'm fine.

[She was decidedly not fine, if the way she was still leaned against Blake was anything to go by. She frowned, bringing a hand up to the side of her head again as the throbbing intensified and sucking in a breath.]

...If you don't follow him now, you'll lose him.

[If she'd been thinking more clearly, she might have reconsidered encouraging her sister and Daniel into pursuing a foe they knew so little about but it was hard to think at all with this incessant headache.]

[Ruby wasn't deterred away as she noticed Yang's struggle as her brows furrowed. Glancing to Daniel briefly with uncertainty before looking back over her.]
