WHEN: Late afternoon, autumn
OPEN/CLOSED: Open
PROSE OR BRACKETS: Either One
WARNINGS: Wreckage, injuries

There’s been some time since the Hell March, the fear Arthur had around the humans was dissolving. The more his friends encouraged his happiness, and wanting to help others as well. The more he started to feel comfortable about himself. The healing process went well, for he knows that for the most part there was good in this world. People wanted him to be around, and know he was not a threat. But a giant with love and kindness in his heart, who wanted to protect and heal. Even discovering recently that he could potentially unlock the path to becoming a Nephilim.

However, there were those who didn’t want to see that come to be. Jacob Barnett considered himself to be ‘an old acquaintance’ of Arthur’s. The man who took power when it was within his grasp. Arthur knew about him, but choose not to seek him out of fear. Nor did he want any of his friends to know who he was or for him to go after them. But as Arthur was walking back from his trip of visiting the school. He was stopped in his tracks, the solid tap of the man’s cane came down to the ground, “Hello Arthur.”

Arthur stumbled back as he took in a sharp breath, “J-Jacob-?! No-! No no, you can’t be here you-!”

Without another word Jacob reached out and grabbed Arthur’s pendant violently, as he shoved him out of sight from anyone who might see. Proceeding to choke him as slammed him against the wall, shoving his cane that glowed with electricity threateningly, “Well I am, and yes. I saw you on the news. Who the hell do you think you are? You think you can save these people? You think they care about you Arthur? You don’t deserve attention, you and your kind. If you think I’m gonna let you walk around this city instead of being up in those clouds where you belong, you got another thing coming!”

Arthur struggled against his grip, trying to make him let go as he pushed against him in any way he could, tears coming to his eyes, “N-No! I-I won’t stop, I d-don’t care what people t-think of me anymore! I want to help people! So you just-ARRG-!”

Giving a wicked smiled as Jacob got closer to Arthur’s face as his grip became tighter, “Really..? Oh Arthur, Arthur, Arthur, you’re still the same naïve child I’ve met all those years ago. Perhaps another dose of reality will remind you, who you really are.”

A loud snap could be heard, as Jacob viciously broke the chain that held around Arthur’s neck. Everything suddenly felt like it was going in fast pace, the world was getting smaller and smaller. Arthur was growing at an uncontrollable rate, as he stumbled backwards, trying to get somewhere safe. But it was too late, he wasn’t in control of what was happening. As his body grew, he lost control of his footing as his back slammed into a building his arm crashing into some rooms. Arthur’s eyes widen as he heard a few screams. He quickly turned around to try to save anyone from the falling blocks.

There were already a few people who were injured as he pulled them out. Arthur was trembling as he tried to save anyone he could from the scene. But Jacob stood out from the crowd as he pointed his cane up at him, “HEY! Look what you’ve done! You don’t belong here! Go back to where you came from before you cause any more damage you big clumsy behemoth!”

Shaking in fright still as Arthur got to his feet, suddenly all eyes were on him. Emotions that ranged from fear, anger, and uncertainty from the crowd as they looked at him. As Arthur saw all this, his eyes widen, heart pounding as he felt the shame for what he is, and what’s he did. A tear or two already came down his cheek before he shook his head, “No… No I-I didn’t mean to I-I… I’m sorry!!”

Just like that Arthur ran from the scene. Leaving Jacob standing just outside the crowd. With a smirk on his face. Beginning to walk away.

Chuckling to himself, “Game, set. Match.”
