[It was a long and hard battle, yet slowly but surely the Chaotic menace was beaten back.

What was left by the time "late at night" gets blurry with "early in the morning" were only a few dozen individuals, now huddled together downtown, near the large trees that'd given the city its name. They were faced off against several fighters, two opposing forces that weren't, at the moment, actually combatting.

They were both waiting to see who would make the first move.]

No. [He made a gesture at the nearest Chaotic, an eagle-wolf beast that had extra eyes blinding from its chest, extras like most of the monsters had.] That would be too much visual information coming in, don't you agree?

So if a bunch of your army suddenly disappeared, you wouldn't possibly know until you actually brought your forces back together.

[At this, several dozen of the Chaotics suddenly begin to disappear. No - they glow, the shape of a cylinder surrounding them, before they poof out of sight, each light shrinking and then appearing in the girl's hands. She then casually pops them into her backpack.]

Like you said - always more where they came from, right?

[His eyes, all three of them, flicked to watch the light pass back into her hands, but his expression never faltered.]

You can have your fun for now, then, I guess. This time.

[The last of the lights went into her backpack, and she began to step away casually. Backwards, of course, keeping her eye trained on the creature.]

I won't interfere with your...fun today anymore. I've got what I need for now. If you do decide to come back here, though? You and your army won't be looking as pretty when I'm finished with you because I won't abide another such invasion. I know I don't look like much of a threat, and you probably don't care why anyhow, but...

just...keep in mind Birchpointe's a priority for me, hm?

[He's interrupted by one of the Chaotics at his elbow rising up and snarling at the girl. It was silenced by the rabbit raising its arm threateningly, and it sank back into line, grumbling low in its throat.]
